Benefits of drinking water and staying hydrated

As you guys know and all of us have already heard facts telling staying hydrated is such an important thing to our daily life style. So today I am going to share about the importance of drinking water in our daily fitness lifestyle.

What are the benefits of drinking water in your overall fitness goals? 

  1. It delivers oxygen throughout the body
  2. It boosts skin health and beauty
  3. It regulates body temperature
  4. It flushes body waste
  5. It makes minerals and nutrients accessible
  6. It prevents kidney damage from various supplements.
  7. It boosts performance during exercise
  8. Drinking water aids weight loss
  9. It reduces the chance of a hangover

Drinking water plays a great role in our daily bodybuilding goals and fitness lifestyle due to the below listed reasons:

  • The muscles are mostly composed of water , so if you are drinking water the muscles will automatically look fuller. It is often recommended to drinking water at least two litres per day by the health authorities. But I would suggest to at least drinking water 4 to 6 litres per day. It is because that if you are into sports or some fitness activities, your body needs more water because you sweat it out during the workouts.

  • Regardless of whether you're a sportsperson or not, drinking water regularly is a must. It helps in transportation of nutrients to various parts of the body. 

How much water would it be a good idea for me to drink while working out?  

The American Council on Exercise has suggested the following basic guidelines for drinking water before, during, and after exercise:

  • Drink 17 to 20 ounces of water 2 to 3 hours before you start exercising.
  • Drink 8 ounces of water 20 to 30 minutes before you start exercising or during your warm-up.
  • Drink 7 to 10 ounces of water every 10 to 20 minutes during exercise.
  • Drink 8 ounces of water no more than 30 minutes after you exercise.
